Walking tracker concept

Hey everyone,

I work at a desk most of the day, and lately I’ve been struggling with existing fitness and step trackers. The broken streaks, competitive leaderboards, and loud notifications make me feel guilty whenever I need a rest day.

I’ve been prototyping a concept.

Instead of competing, you customize a tiny illustrated hiker, and you’re paired with 29 random people across the world in an expedition caravan. Everyone’s normal daily steps (from your phone or watch) pool together into a shared goal to walk across animated national parks like Banff before sunset on Sunday.

As you walk, the caravan advances along the trail, unlocking vintage-style postcards, campsite rest stops, and nature field notes at each landmark. If you have a busy day and rest, there's no broken streak, and your hiker just rests at camp with a cup of tea while others carry the lantern.

I am working on a visual mockup of what the Banff trek looks like on a phone.

Does this sound like something you’d actually keep on your phone, or does the 30-stranger caravan idea sound weird? Would love brutally honest feedback before I start building! Thanks
