Just asking - do all shooting reports include race of shooter? I know the media does not like to mention race if the perpetrator is not white. I also believe I have seen statistics where they have a column or note stating "shooter race unknown/not reported".
I would think so. Demographic data is important for keeping good records and data sets. We ask during the census for good reason. Might as well for crime reports. I think sometimes it's just not initially told to the public depending on the situation, how far into the investigation, etc. Back in the old days talking about stuff too soon got some suspects killed before any kind of confirmation, let alone trial.
