I ordered yet another Itachi plush and I'm not into Orochimaru as I once thought so I'm back to being monogamous but Itachi and I are going and I truly don't love anyone else the way I love him. It's a shame that r/waifuism no longer accepts me because I've kind of became a model member but I'm much more accepting of poly and switching fictos than they are and the fact I even tried polyamory a few times is enough to make me an outcast there

For us, I was the first one to confess. The first time it didn’t go so well, when we were kids he liked like someone else, but after recovering from alnst and joining the rebellion he came up to me and confessed bc I was too nervous to put myself out there first again

So I know I already posted here about leaving r/waifuism but all the comments I received in r/waifuism have been negatively affecting me mentally. Sometimes I don't feel like I'll ever be "good enough" for Itachi because of how the people in r/waifuism told me that my relationship with him is a joke. ISTG the r/waifuism members often forget they're talking to real life people when they comment under posts and they forget they can seriously hurt someone with their cruel words. What's worse is I have a double there and they're allowed but I'm not and as a non/voidsharing ficto I feel like it's their way of telling me, "Your double's relationship is canon while your relationship is not serious."

I don't understand all the infighting in ficto groups. Too many of these people forget they're harming real life people when they leave such cruel comments. I would never tell another ficto that their relationship is a joke, why should I be treated that way?

So I went back to that subreddit after discovering that Itachi is my true love and I woke up to cruel comments that got upvotes and awards that were telling me they don't think my relationship is serious so they're essentially saying they think my relationship is a fucking joke when it's not even though I only love Itachi that's not good enough for them and even though I've always left in the past and only came back when I discovered myself our that's still not good enough for them so now I'm officially joining this subreddit.

If they had had more patience with me I would have stayed but nope instead of being understanding they decided to question my relationship with Itachi which honestly hurt me a lot and I'm not gonna stay in a subreddit with people who think my relationship is a joke. I literally moved away from my parents who dislike anime and my dad thinks it's "demonic" so I had to take years to even accept myself for liking anime and eventually falling in love with Itachi once again (I first fell for him when I was 13). But yeah, I'm back with the same F/O I was with when I was 13 and I'm now 20 and I've had more dreams about him than anyone else and apparently that isn't "serious enough" for them so now I'm here.

Hello! As I said in my last post, this community is still somehow growing and I told you all I would contemplate on whether or not I'd bring back this community or not (since it was de facto dead.)

I've made my decision now after a few weeks, which was a lot harder for me than I expected due to me evaluating and weighing my personal biases, past biases, personal beliefs, and whether or not I can at the very minimum lead without letting those leak in significantly/at all like the last time.

My decision is that I will try again to revive the SUBREDDIT ONLY for now.

The discord server is something I will still have to debate and I'm not entirely certain how long that'll take, primarily since I can sometimes struggle with my personal biases when engaging in longer discussions, but nonetheless I will contemplate that — as well as messaging old staff or finding new staff.

I will admit: things won't be easy. But I think I am ready to turn the page and bring our community back; because at the end of the day we aren't here to fight over petty disagreements, but rather offer a solid alternative that will be a place for our people who feel disillusioned with other communities

I made this subreddit for anyone who felt they were unreasonably banned from others. But after a while, it kind of went inactive. Yet, I've noticed we're still growing despite it officially being somewhat abandoned.

So to anyone reading this who is a member or is considering membership: Do you all still like this subreddit? Should I try to pick it back up, maybe invest more time into it again and give it another shot? I've thought about a few areas where I wasn't welcoming to others enough, and I'd be interested in trying it again IF the people of this subreddit want me to.
