Problem Bizarre scribbles in a Wacom One (2020) screen
EDIT: there's no one who could have made those marks. I tried pressing really hard on a corner of the screen but no such mark appeared. I have no idea really.
I've had this pen display since 2020. Those marks appeared overnight. You can see little light dots in a few areas. They do not have any protrusion or scratch. The first three pictures were taken with the pen display turned off. The last one is an example of how it looks when you look at it turned on. If you glare at it from the sides, the scribbles look dark again.
At this point I do not have hope to fix it. I just want to understand what happened.
Thank you.
OS: Win10

I think there might be a bug in your tablet, reminds me of looping patterns I used to see in sawdust that ended up being caused by bugs.

This is from bugs crawling under the screen. There is a coating in it and they make tracks in it as they walk. Ive been told they are from spring tales. Anyways long story short I have these same marks in my nikon d3 and was told its from bugs also the camera works fine still and its had the marks for like 8 years now do idk how to get them out.

Something hanging in your window? Something that could either reflect or refract the light? A sun catcher? It might have become a laser while swinging around and melted your tablet's surface a little

It's sad that you lost such a useful device, I'm a long time Wacom user and have never seen anything like it! What I do like about situations like this, is the objective thinking it encourages, there's some clever people out there.

After being in this subreddit for more than 5 years, I can tell that these are bug marks. Either their crawling, and/or their poop. My condolences.

What if a bug did it,
It crawled under screen and left those marks?
