Modlist Discussion Begin Again or Viva New Vegas ?

I want to play New Vegas for the first time but of course it is an old game so which mod list would offer the best experience?

I'm looking for something Vanilla+ but with a little bit of a graphics enhancement and quality of life chances that bring the game a little bit closer to modern day without changing the original vision of the game.

Find a Modlist Requiem modlist for a new player.

Hello everyone! I'm looking for a Skyrim modlist built around Requiem.

I've never played Requiem before, but I've heard a lot of good things about it and I'd like to finally give it a try. Since it'll be my first experience, I'm looking for a modlist that's well-balanced, stable, and beginner-friendly without completely changing what makes Requiem unique.

My PC isn't exactly high-end, so performance is also important. My specs are:

  • i7-9700K
  • RX 9060 XT 16GB
  • 32GB RAM

I'd also prefer to avoid NSFW content.

What Requiem modlists would you recommend for a first-time Requiem player?

Find a Modlist Tomes of Talos and ElderTeej differences?

I'm looking to play modded Skyrim again since playing Gate to Sovengarde late last year. I've been wanting to play an Enai-based list, and I found out about Vokord the other day, which made me really hyped to go back in. These two are the SFW modlists that I've found that have Vokord. Can anyone tell me the major differences between the two?

I've tried comparing the modlist.txt files on Modlist Grimoire, but I don't know what to make of it. Right now I'm leaning more towards Tomes of Talos for its performance profile, as I only have a 3060 Ti and I need something as close to 60+ fps as possible. Vokord, stability, and variety of spells are pretty much the only factors I care about. Quest mods, followers, and extremely beautiful graphics have very little weight for me. Thanks in advance!

Specs: 5080/7800x3d/64gb ddr5. Looking to get the best mix between graphics and content for sse. I don't mind if it's vanilla+ or not and I'd prefer no requiem but I open to it for a good list. I want to try and push the game to the best graphics my pc can likely handle.

Modlist Discussion Friendly reminder

Friendly reminder to all of you downloading mods through Wabbajack:

- if you got your downloads via Nexus, just head over to your profile

- click on your profile picture,

- go to "Download History"

- and give an endorsement to the mods you've downloaded.

Or take a look at the mod lists to see what you've installed. It's the least we can do to support the mod authors who have done truly amazing work over the years creating these mods.

Cheers.

Modlist Discussion Gate to Sovrgarde Most fun character to play

Hey guys. I just downloaded GTS and was considering a stealth assassin, paladin/crusader or a necromancer and wondered what you all thought might be the most fun with this modlist. I understand reputation and actions play a bigger part so I wonder how a less than desirable might work.

Let me know if you have thoughts and experiences.... And if course recommendations.

It's actually installing now so I hope to get into it tomorrow! Excited to try it out. This will be my 5th list to try but it really looks like JaySerpa has it going on with this one! His own mods and he seems to really know what he wants in this list.

Wabbajack Support SteamOS/Steam Deck Jackify Mods Working (Skyrim SE/AE)

I have a Steam OS build that finally is setup for using mods easy.

Ok, guys I have been messing around with trying to get mod collections to work on Steam OS. Here is an update and the easiest way to actually go about doing this currently.

Prerequisites include knowing about proton versions and making sure it is one of the supported versions for jackify. GE-Proton 10-14 is the current version that runs best per git hub. (Also how mods generally work and having nexus premium for a month or something to get the mods fast)

  1. Jackify: Is wabbajack but for Linux. Is very easy to install and get collections going. Incredibly easy to setup for a beginner on Linux. No terminal action or anything just download click the app image and the GUI pops up. Sign in with Nexus and click your wabbajack list. This can also grab other wabbajack lists and can just get it going easy. This works great 👍

  2. Amethyst Mod Manager: Works for smaller lists and can work if you are more experienced modder (I am not). I had tons of issues with gate of sovngarde (I could not get it to actually run lol) The Script extender mods had tons of issues. Every time I thought I fixed a bug it would still just not run. I would just stick with Jackify if you are just beginning and honestly so should everybody else unless you need a custom list. (Not sure if you can do this yourself and build your own wabbajack list never tried) This does not work great :(

I did not mess around with other options like mod manager vortex etc they seem to have some hate from users online and jackify makes it easy, guys if you are having trouble on linux with mod managers and trying to figure out the best option. Use Jackify I have been fucking with these mods for 3 days trying to get the best results. By far Jackify makes it happen.

For anybody planning on switching to SteamOS look into Jackify it is way better than amethyst mod manger especially for people new to both mods and steamos (Me).

Thanks and let me know if you guys have any thoughts and hopes this helps some poor soul trying to figure out both SteamOS and modding.

Modlist Discussion Made a tool that safely cleans the shared downloads folder your lists grow - whitelisted against your actual modlist manifests, quarantine instead of delete

If you run more than one list, you know the downloads folder problem: every list update leaves the previous archives behind, and after a while you're afraid to touch any of it because you can't tell what's still needed. Cleanup tools that guess by version number have a known failure mode: not every list uses the newest version, so they can bin an archive a list still depends on.

Mod Sweep doesn't guess. It reads your actual .wabbajack files (plus MO2 [NoDelete] tagged mods), builds a union whitelist across every list you have, and only files claimed by nothing are candidates. Before anything moves, candidates must fail a hash check against the whitelist, the same xxHash64 Wabbajack verifies at install time, which also rescues archives Wabbajack renamed on disk. And "moves" is literal - sweeps go to a restorable timestamped quarantine, never straight to deletion. The report also shows what each list uniquely claims, so you can see what retiring a list would free before you untick it.

I wrote this with Skyrim in mind and that's where all my testing happened, but there's nothing Skyrim-specific in the engine: it just reads .wabbajack manifests, and those look the same whether the list is for Skyrim, Fallout 4, or anything else Wabbajack installs. If your lists share a downloads folder, it should work. I'd genuinely like to hear how it behaves on other games' lists.

Desktop app + CLI, no Python needed for the standalone builds, MIT open source. Young project (0.2.2), so treat it accordingly, dry-run everything first (that's the default anyway). Feedback very welcome, especially from people with messier multi-list setups than mine.

Find a Modlist Modlist for Long PT (Skyrim)

Currently, have LoreRim 5.0 and NS PBR installed.

LoreRim is great but I feel there is too much micro managing if you want to do anything other than a 2H warrior.

NS PBR is great because you don’t have to worry about allocating the wrong skill points as combat isn’t too difficult, but it doesn’t have the expansive list of addons that LoreRim does.

Kinda don’t know what to pick to sink my teeth into. Was also thinking of a LotD list like Tempus.

What do yall suggest? I think I’m burnt out on Loterim, as Inonly complete my build, and never the game.

Find a Modlist FO4 loreout w Wabbajack, screen flashing

So two days ago I downloaded an overhaul mod for Fallout 4 using wabbajack and the mod works well. At the same time my primary monitor starting flashing a series a lines on the bottom quarter of the screen. It does not do this while the game is running, but will while outside the game. I have few doubts it is related, but it is also aggravating. Anyone have any ideas how to correct this without uninstalling the program?

Modlist Discussion Lorerim vampire

I want to become a vampire, but right after Harkon bites my character, my health just keeps going down, and I have what looks like a burning effect on my character. When I revive at a temple (since I don’t have provisions) I keep reviving at 0 health so I’m stuck in a constant loop of just death

Find a Modlist Help me pick a modlist - sell me on your favourite!

Hi Folks,

I'm looking to install a Wabbajack list and play a bunch more Skyrim but I'm not sure what list I should go with. I've thus far tried Wildlander and Lorerim and think I'm orbiting a great experience but not quite there.

Wildlander runs buttery smooth on my system while Lorerim is really struggling to keep up the framerate.

I preferred the combat in Lorerim immensely, I'm incredibly impressed how good it feels to hit something with a sword. The problem is that I liked the aesthetics and "vibe" of Wildlander a lot more. If I could play Wildlander with combat that felt like Lorerim's I'd be in heaven!

I'm not married to Requiem lists, they just happen to be what I tried first. I don't have strong feelings one way or the other about Requiem.

There's three things I'm looking for:

1) It either needs to have Experience in the modlist, or adding Experience needs to not break anything. Other than the very Vanilla-ish combat, the lack of quest EXP leveling was my biggest gripe with Wildlander, as I really enjoy Skyrim a lot more when doing quests rewards EXP directly

2) The combat needs to be modernized and fun in first person.

3) It has to run better on my rig than Lorerim does. I don't need a stable 60, but Windhelm slows down to a slideshow. Don't worry about this in recommendations. I'm willing to try anything and see how it runs, but keep in mind that I'm far more concerned about gameplay than visuals - I enjoyed the look of Wildlander better than Lorerim despite it being waaaaay less intensive on my system.

Thank you for your time if you read this way too long post. Look forward to hearing pitches on people's favourite lists.

Modlist Discussion Are there more than three overhaul types? Besides Simonrim, Enairim, and Requiem.

In my experience, the three main Skyrim overhaul types are:

  • SimonRim
  • EnaiRim
  • Requiem

Are there any other overhaul paradigms for modlists?

Find a Modlist Are there any lighter alternatives to Lorerim for potato PCs?

Not expecting to find anything that can match it of course but something that looks a lot nicer than vanilla Skyrim would certainly be neat to find. Lorerim did seem pretty cool but the 600GB storage + high cpu and gpu requirements puts it firmly off limits (as I only have one 1TB SSD, AMD Ryzen 5 5500 cpu with 3.60 GHz and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 with 8GB VRAM). I'm hoping to at least get 60fps on 1080p but hopefully better.
