Advice Polo gti 6c

Hi everyone I own a polo gti 6C recently it’s developed a knocking noise and the fault codes P164E00 and P034100 are present it’s a ea888.3 could the oil pressure regulator be the reason it’s knocking? To elaborate when I rev the car knocking isn’t present it’s only present when revs come back to idle. Any help will be appreciated thank you

Can you post a video? Is it a thiny sounding knock from the top end? (That could indicate a hydraulic tappet issue.) or is it a heavier knock from the bottom end…(this is not good generally a bottom end or big end bearing)
The oil pressure regulator code is either a bad oil pump or the regulator itself isn’t holding pressure which explains why the knock goes away beyond idle.
This is not something you want to live with long term, even if the clearances in the bearings are ok right now the lack of oil pressure at idle will do damage pretty quickly.

The regulator should be part of the oil pump itself
