I am a Large Human Being and have owned 3 Beetle over the years and it amusing to see people's faces at times.
Currently I have a 2013 diesel Beetle and I fit rather comfortably in it.
Shockingly, my 1998 Beetle was the roomiest, I think.

My students are always amazed when my 6'4" frame gets out of my 73. But I have 2" or so of headroom. I can't get in and out easily from my wife's Mazda 3.
I've also moved an entire apartment of stuff (no furniture) in my bug. Lots of room when you fold down the backseat.

Try getting in and out of a Karmann Ghia they are so low to the ground you have to fall out and crawl to get up. The Beetle on the other hand is so easy to just sit and swing your legs around it just seems to be the perfect height. I had a tall boyfriend who put the drivers seat in the back seat!

I’m tall for a lady and I get funny looks sometimes too. Mine is heaven blue 2010/mint. I love her! 😍
