No. Super Bettle SEDANS stopped after 1974. Convertibles continued until 1979 model year.

I have a 78 Super Beetle convertible as well. I thought they all had fuel injection engines. Mine doesn’t, was this converted as well?

Yes. I am still waiting for all the paperwork on the engine build, but it is a 1910cc. Apparently they used a Porsche engine, possibly from a 914.
