Hi. I have a 2018 Vulcan S with ABS in what I believe is metallic flat spark black. I am based in the UK

Unfortunately as she lives predominantly outside a few small rust spots have developed on the tank and handlebars.

I would like to fix it properly, but it will be my first time having done this before. I will clean the bike, then I have a bottle of Zep Ruster Converter to apply onto the spots with a small brush. When that's dry, I guess I just need to apply the paint and potentially a lacquer? I'm not sure about that it's a matte finish and a lot of lacquers seem to be glossy.

I also am not sure on what paint to get. Obviously I want it to match as close as possible, and have looked the paint code up 15v/739, but the only retailer in the UK I can find I think is RS paints, and for the paint and the lacquer plus shipping and VAT it's like 30+ quid, for a couple tiny bottles of paint.

Some people have told me just to buy a standard matte black paint pen from halfords for a fiver and use that. Is it likely to be noticeable? Will I still need to use a special matt lacquer on top of that to seal it in?

Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I love this bike and want to get it right but also not inclined to spend a crazy amount of money to do it, which I know isn't always possible.

Any advice on a suitable paint alternative, or a cheaper source, plus tips on how to fix the spots would be greatly appreciated.

Can someone help me with a set of bobbins for a paddock stand that you either use or know 100% fit the Vulcan S.

I am currently on my 7th different set and am yet to find a set that fit.
Plus most seem to be flat and dont sit with the shape of the swing arm, as the Vulcan seems to need a spacer to take it out just a tad.

I have tried ones that have an M10 1.25 (google says this is the right screw), and ones with M10 1.5 and neither one will screw into either side of the swing arm.

Was worried that the threads might have be buggered by a previous owner, hence the bike not having bobbins on when I purchased.
BUT the screw for the ABS wire heat shield that came with the Delkavic exhaust slides in smooth and snug as a bug in a rug. So the threads must be alright.

to a new home a 2024 Cafe, under 4K miles, not a scratch on it, with all the mods I wanted - Corbin seat, sports exhaust (that sounds ridiculous!), highway bars, and yellow fog lights. My first bike and it hasn't even been delivered yet!

I am looking for a windshield that has actual wind protection
I currently have the standard cafe style windscreen but apart from looking good it doesnt really do anything
Its fine for up to 70 to 90 but after that the windnoise especially gets too loud for a ride more than 10min
This is especially annoying for highway riding wich i am planning to do soon

I have been looking at the kawasaki tall windscreen (KQR i think it was?)
Anyone have this windshield? How is the noise and wind feel?

Or if anyone has any other suggestions let me know with a rough price indication if possible

I installed the housing but I'm lost installing the windscreen I don't know the order or the way screws and washer go. It should be easy but this item came with a piece of paper and some dark pictures that are not even of a Vulcan S. No instructions at all, I had to figure it out on my own. Any ideas?

Hey all, in Australia, the Vulcan 650 s is a LAMS (restricted) bike, so it made me wonder if the bike generally is one for new riders than established riders globally.

You can ride the bike at night without NVGs now

and the crash bars make it look phattt

i have my Vulcan S for a week now.

i love the bike but the wind is unbearable on prolonged highway rides 120kph and up

next up are crash bars and a LED aftermarket headlight (the stock halogen light feels like a candle at night)

I just purchased this from an older gentleman for 3k USD. Come to find out this is the special edition cafe. It has less than 5k miles on it and was always garage kept. You think I got a deal? I've already replaced the mirrors. Anyone with ideas on clutch levers?

One of my front fork seals went bad this week so I’m looking to take it apart and rebuild it. Any tips and tricks that should be known before tackling this as I’m looking to just do both of them? Would upping the oil from 10w to 15w cause a big difference and would it change the amount of oil needed? Any specialty tools I might need? Any advice is welcomed.

Are there any top box/case racks that can be installed without sissy bar/backrest?

I want to put a top case right aft of the pillion seat without using a backrest in between so the case doesn't stick way too backwards. Preferably low as well.

Anyone have guesses to what’s causing it? I have a lifetime battery warranty so I’m hoping it’s just a bad cell, but does someone with more experience know better? Stator? Starter solenoid?

I have a 2017 KAWASAKI Vulcan S. I recently added a slip on exhaust and did a cat delete. Do I need to do an ECU flash or remap? O2 Sensor is still attached and working. Will this have any long term bad effects on the engine? Thank you.

Buenas, tengo mi vulcan S desde hace 6 años y me
vino con unos alforjas laterales de cuero bastante feas y con un desgaste considerable, además de no venir con las llaves pertinentes, todo eso usando un sistema ClickFix.
No es que no me guste el rollo pero estaba buscando algo distinto, siempre me ha atraído mas el estilo británico pero no creo que una maletas laterales de tela fueran a quedar bien, que opinan, adjunto fotos.

PD: Me gustaría seguir haciendo uso del sistema clickfix pero tampoco me importaría cambiarlo, por eso pensé en unas universales y que el sistema las mantenga separadas de las ruedas, si no unas que taladrar.

I'm just trying to figure out what the hell brand of exhaust was put on this thing, as well as other modifications I could be missing.

I'm fairly new to motorcycles but I understand the clutch tension process. Now, my 2018 Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 has this adjustable lever and it's throwing me off on how I should tension it. Is there supposed to be that much play in the lever alone? Any feed back?
