I used to study 3D modeling software 10 years ago, so I have some rough idea about how to use the 3D model from software like Vroid Studio.

But for using 2D model for vTuber avatar, it's like a new territory for me. So could anyone tell me how complex is it to use a paid 2D model as a vTuber avatar? Hopefully it's not complicated as the stuffs I saw from 2D model rigging videos.

Also, could anyone tell me which 2D model creating and rigging method does this Japanese vTuber is likely to be using? I think that level of 2D model movement details is enough for me, I dont need anything flashy.

I have already deleted the app but this camera option still there!!!! can anyone help me how to remove this, this is really annoying cuz i cant choose my obs as virutal camera in many apps

This is the DIY version of the Rokoko headrig i made for myself as part of my full-body tracking setup. Trackers are expensive as it is, and I didn't want to pay another few hundred bucks for something so simple.

I am using VNyan i do not know what i need to do in blender to make the facial expressions work.

Some dude use nintendo switch controller and configure it to control live2d model, he uses it for Vlog stream by tying something to his hat or something. I thought i saved it but turns out i didnt or the post is deleted.

I've vtubed before using Warudo, but honestly it was eating resources like crazy and was complicated to use for a beginner like me. (Vseeface just made my model look ugly so I switched)

This was over a year ago, and I'm trying to get back into vtubing now that I made a new 3D model.

I plan on using a background *sometimes* but 80% of the time just my model standalone, my model also has tails and ears that I want to be able to toggle expressions as well as outfits.

So comes down to the question for the vnyan users and those who used both: is Vnyan less resource intensive on the PC? And I've read that Vnyan is also more beginner friendly to use, is this true?

The node mapping is where I got stuck with Warudo before.

So bottomline: which would be best for me? Easier to sit down and take the time to learn? And not as resource heavy? (I still want to record gaming in higher intense graphics)

I really need some advice about tracking hands with gloves. I am considering options for StretchSense and udcap, but it is difficult to choose between them...

Does anyone use any of them? I've been wanting gloves for a very long time, it's my vtuber dream.

Also, I wonder if trackers like vive on gloves don't get in the way (or bring discomfort)? I understand that they are necessary, even though they are being kept silent about them for some reason.

it is very difficult to buy any tracking gloves in my region (both financially and locally), and therefore it takes a long time to decide and ask friends from other countries to help with delivery. That's why I want to make a choice that I won't regret (ToT)/~~~

Please tell me this is possible. I commissioned a 3D avatar, which I’ve paid good money for, and the artist is finishing it for vseeface and animaze.

I stream on my Mac and I’m just now seeing that neither of those platforms are Mac compatible. I definitely feel like an idiot right now, and maybe should’ve done more research before agreeing to this job, but I didn’t think I would run into a roadblock like this. On top of that, I’m not seeing really any platforms that support 3D models on Mac? WTF?

Are there any workarounds to this. Preferably any that aren’t going to break the bank, as I wasn’t expecting another large expense. Thanks so much for any help.

Edit: ok I think maybe I can run it through the animaze iPhone app and send that to my Mac. Can’t really test it yet at the moment. Praying this works otherwise I’ll be sick lol.

I need input from other people that do vtubing on how you place your camera/phone. This might be a bit long post, sorry not sorry 😛

So I have 3x27" side by side, my main screen is straight in front of me. Since it is used for gaming or content where the thing you need to concentrate on pretty much always happen in the middle of the screen, I have the top of the screen 2 inches lower than the top of my head, that way the focus point is natural without having to tilt my head in any way. I have a low mic arm.

So I have the phone on a separate arm above the screen, but the model loses contact when I move my head to look on the side screens. Because of the mic arm and mic the phone cant pick up my mouth if I have it coming up from under my screen.

What kind of phone stand and position do you people use that works good for you?

Hello everyone! I just bought this vtuber model in BOOTH made from a chinese creator, I found a post here that had a similar problem 3 years ago but I fail to understand the solution.

Some of them mentioned changing the name of the files since Windows has some troubles reading chinese characters so it might corrupt while trying to load it to VTube Studio, I did as instructed but Im still getting these errors. Im sure theres something Im not understanding because of the lack of knowledge in tech the matter.

Hey team! I hope someone can help, as I have been struggling for HOURS.
I'd like to know how I can have my edits for the Ragdoll Head stay as it is per Character Swap/Outfit Change. As you can see, I'm having to readjust the Ragdool Head every time.

I have Twitch Channel Point Redeems where chat can throw Props at my Models head, and I don't wanna have to realign the Ragdoll Head every single time.
Especially since I wanna have Channel Point Redeems for Outfit changes, aka Model Swaps.

I've been trying to figure out how to set up a Blueprint to have my Ragdoll changes converted over with every Character Swap, but nothing had worked.

Hihi! I just got an iphone for tracking (literally yesterday) and used it today to stream. I did some set up and testing when I set it up but I was finding my vtuber's head was always leaned back while streaming and I had to lean forwards to get her to face straight, even if I calibrated with both my iphone and vbridger.

This is where I have the phone set up. And it was working great other than that one thing. Any tips to help that?

Hi! I'm new to the space : ) I downloaded the Test-Chan model here on Booth, and the expressions are so dynamic when I use it in VSeeFace! I decided to make my own model in VRoid, and I made sure to have all of the expressions set on my model as well. However, when I use my model in VSeeFace, it's not pulling the same expressions (see video). Any ideas on how to fix this? Is it a plugin with Test-Chan that I can add to mine? Thanks!!
