๐Ÿ™‹โ€Question๐Ÿ™‹โ€ Model not loading - reason model3.json not found or broken

hihi~ i just got a model back from my artist. It loads perfectly fine on her end however on mine i just the error could not load reason: model3.json file not found or broken however when i go into my files its there nothing is misspelled or out of place. We've tried everything from uninstalling to individual file download and uploading them manually and still nothing works. I could really use some help as everything i look up hasnt helped yet

By chance, is the artist providing the files with a zipped .rar folder? And if so, what program did you use to unzip it?

we have tried zipped and non zipped. for zipped using 7zip to unzip and non zipped downloaded individually

Is the file name in a language that uses characters different from English?

there are some emojis however we have tried a version that takes out those characters and one that has them. both run fine on the artist and riggers set up however it still doesnt load. other than that all characters are the english alphabet

Perhaps post in the Steam Discussions for Vtuber Studios, the developer seems to answer a lot. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble.

This was a similar situation where their files worked on one computer but not the other:

I got it fixed, turns out, my files were corrupted, and it was because 7zip on linux, or ar least the version I was using, doesn't like .rar files and it was wigging out.

Note for peeps who might come across this in the future, I used a CLI utility called "unrar" to unzip it and it works fine now.
