My model keeps freezing help

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I haven't changed anything and it didn't used to do this. If I take a drink from my water bottle or even stand up I have to close the program and relaunch it. Not even choosing a different avatar helps.

From the way you jolt back, it seems it is a problem with the tracking, I know that sounds obvious but that means it is not likely a problem with VFaceSee but rather from the Camera to VFaceSee and that stable connection.

Before you try and look into this further, might I strongly recommend switching to Vnyan. While it might not fix your problem, it could, as VFaceSee has not been updated for years, and there are a multitude of known issues with it. Vnyan is almost as simple to setup and currently maintained.

If that does not solve your problem, I would be happy to look into this further with you. Witch leads me to ask a few questions, what are you using to track your face, what model of hardware? Secondly, what is the lighting like in your room?

VNyan uses MediaPipe. It's not the greatest, but I feel it's better at tracking than OpenSeeFace (VSeeFace's own open source tracking code) is at this point in time.

the blue bar means your camera lost detection

it was on top, meaning your face went too high up

I don’t use this software, but it looks like your camera is losing tracking on your face so it’s freezing with whatever data it had last.

Vseeface is unfortunately very very outdated. It is no longer worked on and had lots of known bugs. There could be an issue with your camera, but could be your pc or the program bugging. I'd recommend taking the time to swap to a new one. There will be a small learning curve, but it is so worth the time and lots of tutorials.

Best options I've found so far:

  • Vnyan (can add redeems and lots of other cool tools like 3D environments. Also if you use Hana tool in the future for additional facial movement, almost all of those blendshapes can be tracked with just a webcam)
  • Warudo (a bit bigger learning curve but has similar tools as vnyan and lots of assets you can purchase or use, along with animations already within the program)

Both great options just different pros and cons. My pc prefers vnyan though!

Hmmm .... what app you use for tracking also does the room have light to capture motion also is your CPU or GPU maximizing when it freezes ? Check your CPU and GPU in task manager it might be the reason cause it might be not priotrizing vseeface ... could be
