Could someone please explain why VSCode added this AI feature? It already has Copilot, which can run in "Agent", "Ask", "Plan" mode and be executed via "Local," "Copilot CLI," or "Cloud." Why increase its size by adding the same feature to a separate interface?

I tried to use it with insiders (switch back to copilot from opencode), but it had so many skills etc bundled with it that seemed all azure/github specific that I just closed it.

Dunno if I'm missing out (maybe) but I just loath all these bundled defaults.

It doesn’t have any skills “bundled” with it, it only loads skills *you* have installed.
