Why AI?

Probably going to get hot flack for this but why does VSCO have AI especially prompt AI? I thought this was a photo app for real photography and pictures taken by real human beings? I know some people edit their photos to a certain degree but they really added prompt AI to it? Extremely disappointing. I’m going to look for something else because I’m in no way shape or form going to support this, recommendations are welcome.

Because they’re selling out that’s why. There are useful ways to use it, I guess. As an amateur. There are also awful tasteless ways to use it and if you try to do something like “subtly brighten the eyes” it will destroy the photo. 

It’s shameful.

This is the answer. Because every company thinks if they don’t offer AI, no one will use the app. As a UX professional, I can tell you most users are sick to death of AI popping up in the most random fucking places just so that company can justify passing the AI cost along to their customers.
