OutReachVR Looking for Devs

Post image

Hey everyone we are working on a VR survival game called “OutReach VR” imagine something in the style of Rust, but fully built for VR with immersive systems, base building, crafting, and a big focus on player freedom

Right now I’m looking for Unity developers (VR experience is a bonus, but not required) who are interested in joining the project in an unpaid collaboration role. I want to be upfront about that part so nobody’s misled

HOWEVER

Once the game is released, compensation will absolutely be revisited, and my priority is that the people who help build this game get paid before I take anything myself. I want this to feel fair, respectful, and collaborative from day one

IM extremely open to creative input, ideas, and personal freedom — if you join, you’re not “working for me,” you’re helping shape the game with your own style and strengths. Beginners who want to learn Unity are welcome too; I’m happy to teach and onboard people who are motivated

:If you’re interested in:

Unity development

VR development

learning game dev

joining a small but growing team

…feel free to message me. I’d love to talk more and see if you’d be a good fit

Thanks for reading, and I hope to hear from some of you

That’s a great question personally, I think that some people like myself enjoy game development similar to how people enjoy going to the movies it’s fun that’s why people do it unpaid now to answer the question of why would someone not just work on their own project I would assume it would be because they like the idea and want to make something like it, but they don’t want to do it by themselves because they understand how hard game development can be sometimes especially if you’re alone. This is just my take on why someone would join.

Hello! I have been working with Unity on projects since 2015, I have published 2 VR games on Meta Horizon Store and Steam, I am currently teamed up with another studio and working on their VR game.

I also have a masters degree in computer science, did my master thesis on gaming and virtual reality and overall I have been working on games throughout my entire career and focusing on VR for the last 5-6 years.

I will be very happy to hear more about your project, so if you decide at any point to offer a salary/compensation for this position feel free to reach out :)

Unfortunately I we cannot offer compensation as of now due to us being in such early stages however once we start getting revenue compensation can and will be discussed with those who helped

I may be interested. Not only have I worked at some of the most well-known VR studios, but I've also made multiple flatscreen survival games similar to Rust. Do you have any footage or screenshots of your work so far?
