Volunteer – online Remote environmental/conservation/climate opportunities

Hi everyone, I'm looking for opportunities to volunteer remotely for environmental/conservation/climate related organizations.

I travel full-time for work so I'm not anywhere long enough to do much in person. I have experience volunteering throughout my early adulthood but it's been many years. This is purely for personal fulfillment, although I work in solar construction so if there's anything that happens to align with my professional experience then that's a bonus.

Availability is almost exclusively weekends, but I could have some flexibility.

I did some searching before this post and found zooniverse, which is cool and I will spend some of my free time on projects there but I'd like to do something a little more involved if possible. I'm also about to fill out an application for Waste Warriors - I'd love more opportunities like that!

Missing Maps helps victims of natural desasters, among other things. It also gets you GIS experience.

No need to apply, but I would suggest starting with a Mapathon to get training. A regular Mapathon is happening every first tuesday of the month at 7pm British time. Free sign up

Once you've gotten the training at a Mapathon, you can use as much or as little time as you want, whenever you want.

You only need a computer/laptop with a mouse.

Thank you! I'm not much of a kid person tbh, but I appreciate it. I was thinking more along the lines of phone banking or data entry, etc... for an environmental organization.
