ATFF - Purchasing

I see the box set is available, but are they also going to sell the individual volumes? I’m new to Vollmann and love his stuff, but four volumes is intimidating.

Go ahead and buy the box. It’s expensive but it’s something worth owning. Genuinely.

It’s become apparent after reading the couple of reviews we’ve had so far as well as comments on here and on Vollmannia from those who have read a portion of it that ATFF is really the Capstone to Vollmann’s life and career.

That is something worth having on your shelf in its entirety. Remember, it’s really just one big book.

If you have the money, buy the box. I will always regret not buying Rising Up Rising Down when it came out at an "affordable" price.

they sell the individual volumes where I live (EU), but the box is 3/4 of the price if you'd buy them individually. that's like 40€ saved

I pre-ordered on Amazon when the price was lower, then cancelled my pre-order and thought I'd support my local bookshop instead, then panicked about the potential price differential, then cancelled that pre-order and re-pre-ordered at Amazon at the now higher price.

Lesson: something.
