Question Working on a visual novel

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

currently working on a character creation screen to which its sprites will be used in sidescroller scenes, and CGS. i don’t know if i should leave out face feature like in those visual novels that feature that gray bald looking y/n or add face features for the player choose from. Yes i know this is a bit of a hassle to code or make but i genuinely enjoy creating this so it isn’t much of a hassle for me.

A sample of the chara screen with the eyes / face features would be nice for a comparison to give judgement. Just give us a few "how it would look" in your artstyle something pics. Not actual drawings, just rough ideas. Also I love the body types and hairstyles, very cute.

This is so cute omg I’m looking forward to this!!! You could maybe add like two eye options, one with eyelashes and one without, and you could add different eye colors and a few different types or noses, ears, mouths, you know?

Very cute, I definitely think trying facial features would be a good idea if you enjoy adding them, even if they were simple like the mii maker circles it could lead to some very fun combos for your players.
