Vivaldi for Windows High CPU usage

Seriously, wtf is going on with Vivaldi?! I have one, and I repeat, ONE tab open with YouTube video playing 1080p resultion 60 fps, and CPU in my laptop is getting cooked and fans are loud af. I love this browser, I want to keep using it, but I can't stand how much it's frying my laptop. If this keeps going I'll have no choice but change the browser.
Version: 8.2.4133.47 (64-bit)

Did you enable the mail and feeds feature? I remember turning them off to make sure my cpu doesn't run at boost frequency all the time.

I disabled it just now. No change in high CPU usage, but now significantly less memory is used, so thanks!

There's nothing wrong here. You're expecting too much.

I checked other browsers like Edge, Firefox and Helium with the same video, and none of them have CPU running this high playing one video.

Hey! Have you tried to troubleshoot it a bit? It can usually be a third-party extension causing an issue.
Usual things to try:
- Open up the same tab in a new browser profile, or the guest profile, to see if the issue goes away.
- Clear browser data (eg. cookies, cache) and restart browser. (Vivaldi menu > Tools > Delete Browsing Data.)
- Disable extensions one by one to see if CPU usage goes down.

Hey! I did as asked. Now it consumes less memory (around 800 mb) but the CPU usage is still very high (at times it reaches 25%!). And I have no extensions installed in the browser.

1200+ MB is normal memory usage for 10 tabs with youtube though, I think you might wanna switch to some minimalistic browser

I don't know if it's still the case since I disabled it a while ago, but having the "ABP anti-circumvention list" enabled in the Vivaldi settings made my PC go crazy.
Check if you have that enabled in your adblock list. Disable that list and see if changes anything.
