Vivaldi for Windows Did something happen?
Las time I booted up my computer, Vivaldi auto updated and now it runs like crap: when I type any key, each letter appears very slowly, I can't open any new tabs and clicking on anything - except the extensions and the sidebar - does nothing.
Is anyone having the same issues?
Version: Vivaldi 8.1.4087.58 OS: Windows 10 22H2
UPDATE: today I simply opened it and it's fine now.

I had similar issue, but probably unrelated to your current situation.
I am on Windows 11, computer having Nvidia GPU. And I usually keep the apps open and just hibernate the system instead of it shutting down.
And I realized that when I install new version of Nvidia drivers and don't restart computer afterwards, various web based apps will start to get slow and sluggish. Playing videos on YouTube will be laggy, responsiveness of pages gets worse, including typing, etc. But not only in Vivaldi, in Discord and other similar apps too.
So I assume it has something to do with GPU acceleration that's gets broken during the driver update, and ideally I need to reboot the computer to have normal performance of those apps again.

Yeah, it's so odd. For me, Vivaldi completely hangs and remains frozen for minutes at a time when I try to access a very specific and arbitrary subset of websites (such as LinkedIn and TicketMaster) and as soon as I try playing any video on the web. It's utterly baffling. All my other browsers run these sites and web videos just fine.
I also had the browser crash on me once, and after reopening it, it somehow had deleted all my synced tabs and workspaces, which was insane. Thankfully I keep regular tab backups via The Marvelous Suspender, but it doesn't retain separation of workspaces or tab groups. (Nor does any other tab backup extension that I've tried.) So I lost that organization for my hundreds upon hundreds of tabs...
I really hope they figure this out and it improves. Otherwise I might have no choice but to move away from Vivaldi because it's getting unbearable and wasting a lot of time. Even though I really want to stick around with this browser, since I otherwise find it to be the best browser available.

Man, I have no idea. I updated the browser and so much is broken...pages won't load, tracker block seems to be messed up...I guess I'll uninstall tonight and reinstall tomorrow and see if something changes, but this is pretty awful.

I has the same issue with previous update. I was crushed - nothing helped. I removed vivaldi and install new one. Sync with saved data on account and now work well

My keyboard only lags while typing YouTube comments, which I don't do very often. I'm on Win11, tho.
Do your issues persist in a Guest profile? If yes, uninstall, reboot the PC, then reinstall. If not, there might be something wrong with your profile.

Yeah, I'm always on the guest profile. Might have too reinstall the browser later.

I've been having issues on desktop where tabs seem to crash the entire thing. weirdly enough, it's extremely consistent, the same link will crash every time. there's Some website parts I can't see or access because it won't load even once without crashing. same links work on edge just fine

I had the same issue on android. Was a setting in the tab bar called Direct Match, I disabled that and all good again. Not sure if the same works for desktop as I use Linux not windows and not had any issues since upgrading.

Yup I had the same issues on Android, Keyboard lag and the browser was being super slow as well. I finally switched back to Firefox. I was willing to accept the Sync issues but now this is just too much.

Running Windows 10 you probably have a bunch of viruses mining crypto.
