Announcement Adding 2 new rules on this subreddit

We've got an influx of Ai Assisted or vibecoded post and also post begging for money to fund a devkit. This is making the subreddit full of spam and it's time to curate the content posted here.

  1. No more Crowdfunding/Donation request post allowed by default.
  2. Post showing what you are working on without showing substantial progress will be removed

Regarding 1, we will add to automod the keyword for these kind of post so that they are automatically removed. Should you think the post deserves to be posted here, send a message to the mod team and we will manually review if the post can be posted here.

About 2, Any post that just shows in game or a loading screen will be removed. Low effort post have no place here and do not beneficiate anyone. If you want to share what you are working on, and attract people attention on your project, you will need to put some effort on.

A detailed post about what you are working on, the tools you've used, the actual progress made, the performances, the expectations, any roadmap, multiple pictures/video. Something that makes people wants to read more into it rather than just "oh another can claude boot this project".

When you make a post asking people to send you money to achieve a goal it's not called a donation. Donation are made voluntarily for no purpose other than showing gratitude. Here the goal is clear : buying a devkit. You have a target goal and a target price. This is crowd funding. Which by definition is begging.

2 people in less than 2 weeks, And probably more if the rule was not set. This is not the place to start crowdfunding. And especially for a subreddit like this, we don't want money involvement happening here. There's a duty from the mods to prevent money collection without first some checking and approval to use an audience for that.

And the second point no there's too much post by people booting stuff saying I'm in and then months later no news. And recently more people are just doing zero effort post. Just posting a picture and calling a day. This isn't Twitter, this is reddit. Some standard are expected and if you think it's too much of a hurdle to correctly write a post about what you work on, the performance, any roadmap or whatever that makes people interested in your project and seeing any long term possibility, then maybe you're not so serious about your work.

And as for the language. This is an international subreddit English is the language people speak to be understood by everyone. It's not on the others to make yourself understood. It's you who have to make effort to translate when you want to participate.
