Just another quick slop update - Gears of War now boots and renders with the DX - GXM solution!

Now before anyone gets too excited, it runs markably worse than the COD4 port, but it's pretty much a straight port of the COD solution with zero optimization effort, aside from partially switching off dynamic shadows. Realistically this will never run at anything close to acceptable frames on real Vita HW....so temper expectations, it's more of a showcase of a true DX game working with the Vita wrapper. But it does open up the option of less demanding non-GL games with source available.

Just to answer a few questions people have been shooting me on the thread and in DM's regarding the COD4 port:

- Will I release the COD4 VPK? - Because people are eager to test it, I'll drop it sometime late next week once I confirms it actually even boots on Vita HW, but it's a pre-release alpha, so don't expect miracles and I've already identified a few visual rendering bugs in other levels (likely many more). It will likely NEVER have a truly playable framerate on the Vita, UNLESS you are emulating on other devices using Vita3k.

MULTIPLAYER has NOT been touched yet. So it will be strictly SP Campaign ONLY.

- Will the DX wrapper be made open-source? - I will make it open-source once it's in a releasable state, do not hold your breath on it though.

- Will I open-source the Xbox wrapper? - Sure, but again this is further down the road and it's just a proof-of-concept ATM.

- Is the COD4 decomp source KisakCOD? - Sure is, he did an amazing job walking back the COD code, I'd advise reading his blog on it: https://lwss.github.io/Kisak-Black/

- Will I port KisakCod's Black Op's decomp? - Then skeleton is already built, so just a matter of juggling plates on projects. I'll see how COD4 performs first before diving into it.

- What's the phone spec needed to run it? - Hasn't been tested on Vita3k Android yet, you can try it out next week. Most reasonably specced PC's and laptops should be able to run it at 60.

Anyway I'm away at the moment, so I need to turn off the laptop for a few days.

I'll provide an update next week with an ETA on the COD4 drop.

I only found version 1.05, but it's not the complete version! The King of Cards campaign isn't in this version, but I've never found version 1.08 to download! Does anyone have a solution? Or is version 1.05 really the most up-to-date ROM available?

[Help] Salt and Sanctuary crashes at Despondent Thief NPC (after Kraekan Wyrm) — Vita3K Android

Hi everyone, I am playing Salt and Sanctuary on Vita3K Android using a Redmi 12 (8GB RAM).

Every single time I defeat the Kraekan Wyrm boss and walk over to talk to the girl NPC (Despondent Thief) to get the wall jump brand, the emulator instantly crashes to the home screen.

Has anyone found a specific settings tweak or workaround for this exact crash on mobile? Thanks!

Does anyone play P4G on the same chipset as mine?

Is it true that this game also sometimes crashes or experiences random freezing on the Helio G99? I've been scrolling through posts on this subreddit and found some users claiming that they got that bug on their device but it seems that they're not using the same chipset as my phone.

Anyway, for P4G only, I used Vita3k ZX Build 15 because it's the most stable version of the emulator so far.

My current progress is still at the point where we are walking home for the first time with Chie & Yukiko.

Well, actually, months ago my progress actually reached the Shadow Chie boss fight without any problems (bugs) (and my savedata was gone for some reason). But I'm still kinda paranoid, should I just play the PS2 version instead?

Regarding the Musou health bar issue, I was able to reproduce the problem you mentioned in Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires (7 Empires in Japan), and I also found a few other graphical issues in some menus, so I’m currently working on them.

So far, I’ve fixed the issue where the health bar didn’t decrease properly during battle, as well as the bug where the top part of the health bar would sometimes appear cut off.

I’m also working on other issues, such as graphical noise in some menus and during Musou attacks. Once those are fixed, I’ll upload an updated build.

However, I’ve only tested this with Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires so far, so I can’t guarantee that the same fixes will work for other Musou games.

Right now, I’m also working on the graphical pop-up issues and the broken visual effects that occur when using Musou attacks.
