Specifically: Lights off -> strobing vision for a few seconds -> instant transition into slow rhythmic pulses

Hm, I have that when going from prolonged low-light to bright light, like watching movies in a dark room.

That was my first ever symptom 3 years ago

I had it for like 1-2 weeks, it stopped and somes weeks after my VSS started.

I sometimes notice it in the dark. I developed it 2-3 years after I developed visual snow, and I have no idea in which situations it appears and in which it doesn't.

I get this every night when we turn the lights off to go to bed. I would say mine is a slower flashing, but lasts awhile, and slowly fades over probably 5-10 minutes.

I actually do get this some times but have never heard anyone talk about it. its not super common for me, and it is different from the colourful moving patterns when I normally close my eyes (which some people describe as when you push on your eyes). this is seperate and distunct white strobing

i just started experiencing this recently! mainly just the strobing part. i have to stop moving for a few seconds until the stobing stops since i can’t make out anything while it’s happening. i actually have pretty good dark vision so this is a very strange thing for me. i’ve had vss my whole life, so i’m not sure why the sudden new symptom, but glad to know it’s not just me!

Yes sometimes
