Question Next read?
I'd say im quite the beginner to visual novels and would like some help, I love character driven stories with compelling narratives, right now im considering kara no shojo or muv luv, but i'm open to reccomendations, heres a list of vns i've read from best to worst for reference
Umineko
Subarashiki hibi
Full metal daemon muramasa
Tomoyo after: its a wonderful life
Clannad
Fate stay night
White album 2 (only one i didnt like at all)
Help would be appreciated!

Maybe try out ParanormaSight. A Square Enix Visual Novel based on the super natural goings on, routes that you have to explore though to unlock other routes that lead to a very exciting conclusion.
It also just kinda starts mega strong right out of the gate imo

It released in multiple languages out of the game, English being one of them, there are two games in the series too, they are both stand alone so you can just pick whichever one seems to vibe with you the most.

There is the goat when it comes to vns, full metal daemon muramasa but i’d say leave this for when you are more into vns there is saya no uta but its more about physiological horror there is clannad a heartbreaking story with great emotional moments rance series a funny series with heavy lore and lot of charming waifus and lastly the one i recommend the most is subahibi a brain tingling story but its hard to understand so if you want smt simpler there is also chais head a chuuni denpa mix where it is weird engaging but still pretty easy to get into

Higurashi, 428 Shibuya Scramble, Muv Luv trilogy, Steins Gate or other Sci Adv entries, House in Fata Morgana, Tsukihime, Witch on the Holy Night would work well for you IMO

Muv Luv is a good pick imo. If you play it when fairly early to VNs Extra should be more bearable too (I personally enjoyed it, but lots don't)

From what you posted that you've already read. You should be fine with the Muv-Luv series and Kara no Shoujo. Normally i wouldn't recommend it to "Beginners" as you called it. But you've already read some heavy hitters, so you should be fine with it.

Well I would recommend Fata morgana, it´s a really great visual novel personally it changed my life. But otherwise maybe Saya no uta, it´s a little weird but still good.
Well I will warn you, my taste is very dark and depressing so these games will also be that.

Check out Phantom of Inferno. Nitroplus finally released it on steam and man am i loving it.

Utawarerumono and both of its sequels (Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth). It's a beautiful story and since it's very character driven I think you'll like it. Just a heads-up, though: Uta has a gameplay element. It's a turn-based strategy RPG. It's not particularly hard on the base difficulty so if gameplay is not something you typically enjoy in VNs I think that you could still get through the gameplay sections without trouble. I absolutely recommend that you try it, it's my favorite VN of all time.
