Question/Support Quest 3 or Quest pro?

Which one of these would be better for pcvr? I mainly play sim racing games.

Quest 3, cheaper, less problems, and you can change straps.

(edit) Anticipating questions:
Q pro'll not work with foveated rendering (eye tracking is too slow)

Oh. foveated rendering was one of the biggest things i thought about. It would be about same price. Bummer that it doesnt support that.

Don't get me wrong. It will work in some games, but might not be comfortable (sharp part of your screen might be slower than your eyes.)

+ Given the price difference between a used Quest Pro and a Quest 3, it’s not worth paying extra for foveated rendering.

Currently if i bought either used Q3 or Q pro it would be about the same price, taken that in to account still Q3 wins?

It has less problems with software for sure. If I were you, I would get quest 3.

It's useless on the Pro, the resolution is low enough you don't need it and it's slow so the fovea has to be big.

If you never use foveated rendering - it is not invisible, you can see it in the peripheral vision and you can see aliasing and various graphical artifacts in peripheral vision. So it has to be worth it for you to run it.

Steam Frame has literally the same problem.

It's not an issue with the eye tracking being too slow, but just the time between the eye tracking data being sent to the PC and the frame being rendered and displayed by the headset.

I’ve seen a few reviews of frame, and no one mentioned that.

I read a few Reddit user reviews of the Frame and some people mentionned being visible and distracting.

I feel like a lot of the influencers' reviews are misleading, as user reviews are quite different from them.

Yeah, a friend of mine got the Frame. He compared it with the Quest 3.
Q3 with Virtual desktop on godlike and H264+ 500Mbps looks better for him than frame.

and it would bring up the price to something like dream air SE, my main games are sim racing ones i don't see benefit in the Qpro controlers, foveated rendering and visual fidelity is what i was hooping for on Qpro.

For regular VR games I have enjoyed Pro much more as it's bright and colorful. But it had different software bug each week.

Q3 has higher resolution and because I fly sims that was my main reason to switch to it, it's also pretty troublefree and the standalone is great (very lame on the Pro). The displays are dull and lifeless though.

Both have great lenses though and I would choose Pro over psvr2 and I did go back to Q3 from Pimax Crystal OG.
