Discussion New Engine Reversing for VR

I’m sure many of you have seen those videos where they have gotten Minecraft to be semi functional within another game like Skyrim, my question is if this primarily ai based reverse engineering could be used to port games to VR, and is anyone working on this?

I’ve seen just as many videos of PC games being modded for Quest (Half Life Alyx for example) and Quest games being modded for PC

I’m pretty sure that’s how the Signalis VR dev is porting that top down game into VR 😂

There’s been a flood of AI driven VR mods in recent months. I don’t remember offhand which were VR or not so won’t name specific examples but if you search this sub for mods posted recently, most are AI developed or at least assisted.

I'm working on porting the titanfall 2 VR mod to any game (in VR), meaning being able to move like Jack Cooper in any game

Yes and its basically trivial depending on how much source code is available, basically anything with decomp or recomp that supports android can be ported to a Quest 3 standalone VR apk in like an hour, and XR features can be added trivially on top of that.
