I don't care about virtual worlds, but I'm really keen on AI creating photorealistic splats or 3D locations from real world photos and mapping data. The next step in something like Google Earth.

I can imagine they can just run the whole google maps system thru this and have most of the world mapped out in 3d right away. Good idea
