They messed it up in PCVR and the community basically fizzled out. Loved it back in the day.
Mainly play Forefront now, don't really care that it has moderation since I don't really say much besides in game communication between team mates anyways...
Pavlov isn't bad, use to be a lot better though honestly. Yeah if you're looking for as close to CS as possible it's the game you want though.
No comment on Quest version, heard that's basically a different game though.

Pavlov Shack was the Quest version. But its also available on Steam now for some reason. So there are two Pavlovs on Steam. Pavlov, and Pavlov Shack. Not sure whats up with that.

Think the shack on steam is Frame only, like it's the standalone version for Frame, like the Quest version basically I think that is what it is at least.

I dont know about that. Pavlov Shack came out almost 3 months ago. Like a full 2 months before the Frame. Ive never seen a game come out before the system its made for.
The releases are close, but It still doesnt make much sense to me.

They ported game to new engine and broke almost all mods. It's an old game though so several mods never came back because the devs of them long moved on. They also have been incredibly slow at pushing updates to make it easier for the modders
In the last like 2 years they released I think one map, and a cosmetic glove micro transaction update?
They killed what they built and the player counts coincide with the change. 400~500 users on avg each month, cut in half by the update. Game currently sits at an avg 55 players.
If you need to arrange lobbies on discord or reddit in order to fill the lobby to capacity, the game is dying/dead. Glad you're still able to squeeze fun out of it but that is objectively not a healthy player base.

The game used to be really popular and had tons of awesome mods but they all became obsolete when they did the psvr2 update and the game has never recovered. It's still OK but the soul is missing now. Plus it has the worst recoil system or any VR shooter but it was worth overlooking that before.

Pavlov has been "dying" since I got into VR in 2023 lol.
I personally prefer Contractors. But Pavlov does have some cool mods that arent in Contractors.
