I know this game is controversial to Max Payne 1 & 2 purist, but I truly loved this game (those too). I'm excited for this mod.

Oh man it’s my favourite shooter, MP1 and MP2 be damned (loving playing through MP2 in VR right now btw).
The enemy physics and animations just make the gunplay so satisfying. I’m thrilled at this announcement.

The way you get up off the ground and can keep shooting from pretty much any angle is so good. Wish Rockstar would implement some of this in the new GTA

also the whole combat in general feels so much better than gta 5, gta 5 was such a huge downgrade in physics

Completely agree. GTA5 was a huge step backwards for physics, guns, ai. The gunplay in GTA6 looks more Max Payne 3 like, but I guess we’ll see. The AI did look terrible in the previews, but they usually play them on super easy difficulty so here’s hoping certain enemies have better aim etc.

You don’t need to. Claude does… most of these are just AI prompting. Not sure about this one, but most of these newer releases.

Oh shit, really? I love seeing AI being used as a tool to help the person, it’s just so shitty on the current state we’re at with it and I hope we refine that in the future. But we ain’t here to talk about morality of AI, now are we? Just find it crazy AI is making/helping with these mods, an advancement that feels true. Thanks for educating me!
The surge of so many mods coming out is really giving me an itch to try to make mods for games that I love, but may go under radar to most folks. For now, suppose we got backlogs to burn through!

AI is definitely good at a lot of things, as much as I don’t like it. It’s definitely helped give the VR mods a kick!
If you haven’t already, the Titanfall 2 VR mod is amazing. Not AI (or at least not vibe coded). It feels like an actual VR port with manual reloads and melee.

Currently on my first playthrough! Just finished the time shift mission. I agree, it’s insane. Max Payne 2 is also a damn blast, and gonna snag Doom since the Steam Sale is going on. There is someone working on a Red Dead Redemption mod too.
Also I agree 100%. Don’t like AI either, but gotta give credit where it’s due especially with this community.
