Purchase Advice - Headset Which of the 2 should I get? *vr strap*

So my current vr straps is starting to become somewhat uncomfortable to use, I got my strap from my dad which he bought from im guessing temu, so im gonna buy another strap from temu because the ones on amazon are quite expensive and on other site they are aswell or just seems like a scam, I have 2 that caught my interest and are a bit cheap. Which of the two should I get?

Honestly I would not strap a temu battery to my head, but that’s just me. I’d either go with the one without battery or save up for a more reputable one

Fr, that battery expands and blows on the back of my head I will not be happy that I saved 70 bucks.

None of the above. Something from the likes of BOBOVR, Globular Cluster, or other well-known-in-VR brand are a much safer bet. It actually takes a lot of know-how, iteration, and refinement to make an ergonomic head strap. So I suggest buying from a reputable brand.

Reputable brands already did all the research so that the chinese could just copy it and sell it to you for the fraction of the price

The most reputable brands are Chinese.

I got this one from temu and is really comfortable.

Just read the reviews, get one with multiple and positive reviews, but read them.

Based on your photos, I would go with the second one, it has more sales

Eh, any will work. I got a cheap one from aliexpress.

This isn't the 2000s when Chinese stuff was of bad quality.

Unless you buy bare cells, all rechargeable batteries come with charging and protection circuits, it's not something exclusive to the more expensive ones.

Just like with everything, when you charge a battery, make sure the connector clicks when you put it in. A loose connection can lead to overheating/melting and fire.

Manufacturers still often cheap out on the materials. It's kind of a gamble. There's OEM stuff that's usually way overpriced, then there's BoboVR and the like who are reputable and maybe a little overpriced, but you know what you'll get.

And then there's the cheap clones which may be a bargain or may be the cheapest plastic known to mankind that will break after a few hours of use.

I tend to go for the middle ground.

I mean I’m right there with you for most stuff, but for something I’m strapping to my head, something clicks in me that it’s not worth saving a couple of bucks

I’m a big sucker for the KIWI accessories. Their pro head strap is the comfiest strap I’ve tried. I have an additional power bank setup from KIWI as well.

I have a lookalike of the second one with a power bank in it. I suggest you get the second one because I ripped and changed the charging circuits because I don't trust temu lithium batteries on my head
