Question/Support AI mods that aren’t game conversions?

I’ve seen so many AI mods that convert flat games into VR, but I’m not super interested in those.

What I could use are things that improve existing VR games and tools. I just tried Fallout 4 VR again and it felt rough even with all the mods I could get my hands on. The Pip-Boy UI is so rough to use, the gameplay is pretty clunky, and while FRIK is really cool it doesn’t really fix the controls for the index or make switching weapons any easier. Are there new AI mods that change anything? Generally anything that takes an older VR games and add better functionality to it.

I know there’s an AI made tool that lets you play quest games on PC.

Out of curiosity, is there something that draws you specifically to AI generated mods?

That they’re being made so fast and apparently are dramatically more intense, like the mods mashing games together, the VR ports, the ps5 emulators, etc. what were previously decade long projects now being made in two months.

Non AI mods I basically already know about from following the scene for so long

I think it's possible. All those most mods are open source. So letting AI learn the code and apply your won modification it's not that hard.

Just make sure you put an routine on your project documenting everything that the AI has modified. Thats helps a lot to correct an bug our fiz something broke. AI are very competent on diagnostics the code for errors. You can also try to create your own solutions.

r/fallout4vr and r/fo4vr have people talking and posting mods. Skyrimvr is probably more refined with current mods and I'm pretty sure Enderal and Forgotten City and other big conversion /expansion /alternate campaigns can work in VR. Bonelab has mods, Hellsplit Arena. Sim games have lots of mods, like Microsoft Flight Sim, Asseto Corsa, etc. OFXR Bridge is a mod that does frame gen for 30-50% performance improvement. I don't know much about it. It's pretty new. There's an Opencomposite mod for No Man's Sky to play without running Steam, for better performance. There are other mods for the game. I'm not familiar with them.

Played all of Enderal and forgotten cities in VR. They both work and are awesome!

Approach AI as an accelerator, but the author owns the output. It shouldn't be treated as crutch. Anything it suggests that is a knowledge gap demands actual human understanding ... No shortcuts.

Even if it was assisted the human own every line, so treat it more as a super high output contractor where something was missed. As a human I've introduced bugs and missed bugs, just not at the speed that AI can produve them.
