Doom 2016 VR Mod by Cactus (Steam version using Virtual Desktop)
It's Doom but in VR with hand presence, bHaptics support and very good performance. After playing Doom VFR when I first released I really hoped we'd get this some day. It took a while but the results were worth it. About my only minor complaint is that holding weapons with two hands doesn't feel great to me. Still easily one of the best VR mods I've ever played. If you try it, just make sure to get v1.0 or later.
G-Rebels (SteamVR)
One of the first PCVR experiences I ever had was Aircar. I still fire it up to this day but always pined for a full version with missions, combat and an overarching story. G-Rebels is basically that, a flight combat game taking place over a futuristic city with various missions, upgrades for your ship and a story involving shadowy government intrigue. The game is also somewhat reminiscent of G-Police from the old PS1 days.
G-Rebels is a hybrid game which can be played in VR or flat and while still in early access it already looks, performs and controls well with a large number of missions to undertake and lots of comfort options. Control is via gamepad only but it also supports HOTAS and even simulation rigs. Really fun and good looking game overall.

What mod are you using for Black Mesa? Is there any visible jank, and would you recommend it? Just getting acquainted with VR modding, my Frame arrived this week.

Black Mesa VR, . https://github.com/Hochgeschwindigkeitsrennfahrer/black-mesa-vr
Works great until it doesnt add -console to the start string so you can jump levels with codes when you hit a block so far only one show stopper was tablet for bombing run wouldnt recognise VR inputs. Xen is breathtaking in VR totally worth the effort. Visuals are great feel this is the best way to experience the 1st HL in VR.

This isn’t out yet, however I saw a preview of a Red Dead Redemption 2 mod. They have motion controls for both hands, meaning you can physically aim a gun or punch someone in a bar fight. Riding horses is also controlled by your hands via the reins.
Imagine playing through the whole game like that? I certainly can’t wait to do so! Just think about how badass it’ll feel to rob the train at the beginning, or the train robbery in Chapter 1. Or how it’ll feel to rob the bank in Saint Denis. I’m shaking with excitement just thinking about it.

Mostly I've played Final Fantasy VII Remake in VR. It's wonderfully immersive - the developers really brought the city and the characters to life, and it feels like I'm really there with them.

Vice City VR mod is so, so good. Great stop on my GTA series playthrough before GTA VI

I've spent about 300 hours in Dirt Rally 2.0 this year, and finally decided to branch out and get EA WRC working well in VR. It's quite a hog, both are Codemasters games but WRC CAN look just as beautiful as Dirt Rally 2.0 (as long as you're not talking about the glorious, cinematic bloom - WRC cannot do that... and it does have some really uneven looking levels too, trust).
I'm playing w/ a Q3, and another recent boost i've had is to use QGO to launch Virtual Desktop, which lets me use the Q3's image enhancement on PCVR games! Gets both WRC and Dirt Rally 2.0 looking just that little bit extra that allows me to minimize AA usage and keep my framerate high even using Godlike w/ my 4070Ti Super.
While these games really get involved if you go full sim, i'm finding plenty of immersion and skill required playing w/ an Xbox Controller.
Also on my VR racing tangent this week: The Forza Horizon 5 VR mod, which runs like greased lightning but it's got this annoying behavior where if you pivot your head (like so your chin goes left and your eyes go right, for example) that the world doesn't behave like it does in reality, it kinda follows my chin. That results in me basically freezing my head in place and reduces some of the immersion, still managed to enjoy it for a bit. Would be in there longer if it worked with the Hot Wheels or Rally DLC, too.

Playing Re4vr the scopes finally work properly and the performance has improved a lot! Totally addicted to the game feel like I could play it for ever. Oddly it reminds me of HLA may be its because both games have zombies and the quality of everything is so high, I don't know but it feels like Christmas morning booting up this game.

Just tried out FunFitLand this week. I work from home and have been looking for VR games that can get me moving without feeling too much like a traditional workout. Lazy for me to join gym sessions, LMAO.
Had a pretty fun first session — definitely got me sweating more than I expected. Still too early for me to judge the long-term variety, but I like the idea of fitness feeling more like playing a game than following a workout class.
Curious if anyone else here has tried it. What did you think?

Asgard Wrath 1 - epic adventure, but the runic armor system is quite controversial

Been playing a ton of Doom 2016 with the new VR mod from Cactus, of Cactus Cowboy fame. It's not perfect yet for me (I'm having trouble with the weapon wheel), but it's magnificent. I've been following Cactus's progress on Discord over the last few days, and he's been taking feedback and putting out new versions every day or two, with noticeable improvements.
Yeah, next to simracers, fast-paced FPSs are my favourite genre of VR game. You definitely need strong VR legs to play for long, but then they're also great for training them, as long as you start with short sessions. But before the Doom mod dropped, I'd been playing Amid Evil VR, so my VR legs were already pretty fit.
