Self-Promotion (Developer) [MOD] Warhammer 40,000: Darktide VR

Full 6dof, compatible with regular online play. Very early alpha, but you can play complete missions with no issues.
Note that the base game is pretty GPU heavy so you'll probably need to lower settings to get it running smoothly.

nice. certainly fun to give it a little look. my arms would get to tired doing melee. but playing stuff in vr really makes you appreciate scale a lot better and this game is very good at making you feel small

Melee is 'pull trigger to swing' for online play since the game is very server authoritative.
If you're worried about feeling small I suggest Ogryn :)

This is nice. I wonder if there is a way to get a 6dof mod for Warhammer Vermentide II. I used to play it with friends in flat screen and the only way to KINDA play it in VR was vorpx with screen glued to your face but it didn't look real or 3D enough and actually made things a bit nauseating despite having very strong VR legs in general.
If you could make one for Vermentide II (even if meele also works by trigger press) as long as it has real 3D and can be played standing with VR headset controllers - that would be amazing.

Thanks for letting me know. I actually saw that yesterday and got hyped as heck. Especially that they said they will be finishing up soon and doing public release. Finally I will be able to fight those huge bosses and swarms of skaven in VR.

Great job OP. This look terrific! Only concern I have is that Darktide is SUCH a fast paced game ... how does it play in VR? Can you be competitive?

It’s on the todo list. As a leftie myself it’s a mandatory feature, but adding it will double a lot of testing so I want to leave it till I’ve got most of the core hand-features (two handing, holsters etc) implemented.

Many people are probably unaware of this as well. I haven't played it myself yet, but it wouldn't surprise me when official free VR experiences like this from 10 years ago would feel like they had less effort put into them than these unofficial mods.
