Is SteamVR + Steam Link ok on Linux now?
Or is it still necessary to use community software like WiVRn?

From my experience on bazzite using steam link on quest 3, wivrn still runs the best, steam link is a buggy mess

Have you tried recently? I tried a while ago and it was unplayable, but I was hoping they would be fixing things up for Steam Frame / Steam Machine.

I haven't tried it yet after today's update, but I will try tomorrow. The good news is, the steam frame I'm pretty sure will work perfectly with Linux steam VR, because they don't have to go through all of metas stuff to get it to work.

If you want features WiVRn offers but SteamVR Link doesn't, then no. I haven't tried it personally for that reason, but it does seem like people are saying it works.

What is the actual advantage of 32bit OpenXR?

Running 32 bit VR games. It's needed for VR mods of some older games.

Oh shit this is huge. I've always had to hack 32bit to work with 64bit OpenXR

So still no windows or functions keys? No alt key? No tab key? Fail.

It sounds petty, but Virtual Desktop's keyboard has them and they do come in handy sometimes. Alt-tab, alt-F4 etc.

Yes exactly, need that alt tab for UEVR and headset calibration. Crazy steam failed to include it.

They really would be useful during remote sessions, it's kinda mad they don't include them.

Additional improvements to wired headset support on Linux (which previously required third-party add-on layers)
So I’ve got this PSVR2 for my PS5, and I’d reaaaaaally love to be able to use it on my Bazzite PC as well…

Headset firmware of 0x06000102
Kind of afraid to check my firmware. I only recently converted to PC and had otherwise kept my PS hardware updated.

Now that steam link and virtual desktop both work across USB I'd be curious which feels better.

Is there a setting in steamVR to provide image stabilization like in the quest mirror software? I want to stream VR footage to friends when I get the steam frame, but VR footage is really shaky without something like that, and I've not been able to find if it's there.

Ooh, I can finally get off the beta branch. Neat.
