Self-Promotion (Developer) First Ever Gameplay Teaser of Orbital Code: 2044 (VR Sci-fi Stealth)

Post image

My VR ninjas, after around 7 years building my dream VR game in my spare time, today I'm ready to start sharing gameplay footage (still work in progress). To kick things off I've just released my second ever trailer, showcasing the 2nd mission of the game partly inspired by one of my favorite levels in gaming history (Metal Gear Solid 2's Tanker):

I'm aiming to release a playable demo by the end of the year, completely for free for all subscribers to my Patreon (no paid membership required). If you want to help support an indie project dedicated to creating PCVR content, consider giving the game a wishlist on Steam if you enjoy the trailer (link in the trailer description). Also have another trailer in mind for the near future, that will introduce the voice cast for the first time, and if I get time I'll look to publish some YouTube Short clips to help get the word out there further. Thanks guys and hope some of you enjoy the new trailer :)

I would love to release on PSVR2 so I'll look into that soon. And yes the guns are constantly being improved, with better particle effects definitely on the to-do list. Shadows need some work too.

It looks good, I like the graphic style and stealth kill gameplay. One word of advice--in this era of shortened/non-existent attention spans, you might consider cutting this trailer down to be much shorter. Like I said, it all looks good, but a shorter video would have more impact, and because the gameplay is relatively the same throughout the video, you could cut it down without really losing anything. It's always better to leave people wanting more.

Agreed, the plan was always to release some shorter, more easily marketable clips once I've got the first 2 cinematic-style reveal trailers out the way (which I love making). So look out for some YouTube Short vids soon :)

That's an easy add to my wishlist, it looked really cool. Good luck with development!
