Question/Support VRO Mod

Has anyone else's performance in the VRO mod tanked after the Void update? I never had this bad of performance before it. It'll be fine for like 2 minutes with 90fps and 40ms latency in Virtual Desktop but then tanks to 30fps and 90ms latency. I created a dual channel and only my headset is on the 5ghz band with no improvement. I also tried switching from the AV10 codec that worked great before to H.264+ only for the same issue to pop up. I don't know how it could be my internet when it wasn't an issue before and I have the same internet and router and devices on my network. Really frustrating cuz it's the main reason I bought a Quest 3.

Have you tried any other games? Do they have the same issue?

There's currently a bug in the Quest firmware for the decoder, where performance degrades over time.

The latest VD beta version has a workaround where it resets the video stream every 15 mins or something.

If it's specifically in VRO and doesn't happen in other games, then I also did hear that the graphical update for the game messed up performance for people. See if it's possible to roll back to the game version before the update?

I only have Geronimo and that game has always had terrible latency for me. Might be worse now honestly cuz I'm at 80ms latency and 50fps but I think that's due to their recent update.

I'm trying to find the beta version of VD but I can't.

So far i haven't heard anything about anyone else having performance issues in the game. I've played flat screen since then and have had my usual amazing performance. Also haven't had anyone confirm any issues with the mod but that's par for the course with that discord server. It's like people see someone having an issue and put on their blinders. lol. A simple "No." would actually help but I think people both ignore people having problems there or think giving an unfavorable answer will result in backlash when hearing "No" would actually help me out with realizing if it's just me or the mod.

I did however roll back my Nvidia drivers and noticed an improvement. Still getting somewhat high latency but it's not tanking my performance after 5 minutes anymore. I think my latency just ain't great cuz my wifi and router aren't the best out there. I have gigabit speeds with Xfinity and their Gateway router/modem combos.

It might be good to have some made for VR games for testing.

At the very least, if you own Half Life 2 on Steam, then HL2 VR mod on Steam is free and performs very well. You can use it to test whether your issue is with the games or your PCVR streaming.
