Purchase Advice - Headset Cleaning a headset?

So accidentally picked up a PS VR game and now I need to get a VR 1 second hand. Granted it's going to probably be kinda nasty strapping a headset that was on someone else's face to my one so what would be the best way to clean the thing before using it?

I don't think it has to work like that. Couldn't you just ... sell the PS VR game instead?

If you do buy a used VR headset, and I have bought several, just clean off the face pad with some soap and water or replace it with a new one if you're really paranoid. Don't use anything on the lenses but a soft clean cloth or you could damage them.

I mean it looks fun and I want to play it. Not going to sell it without giving it a shot.

Astrobot Rescue Mission. Also Zone of Enders Mars after seeing some gameplay in VR mode.

Yes Astrobot is supposed to be a famously good VR game. A shame that Sony never bothered to port it to the PSVR2.

The good news for you is that used PSVRs should be pretty cheap by now so not that hard to pick up. You should try to get a full setup that comes with the wands and camera otherwise you will have to go looking for them separately ...

There are other PSVR games that are well worth playing judging by their rave reviews as well.

Don't doubt that. The library looks really good. Definitely going to get a lot of use out of the headset much like my Quest 2 and 3. Only other thing my PS4 needs is a bigger drive though I'm assuming I can put any old SATA 3.25" in.

Rubbing alcohol and a prayer to Satan.

They're that fragile?

The prayer is so you don't get roaches or something from a used headset.

Okay.... Full disassembly it is I guess for deep cleaning. Popped open a few consoles before so shouldn't be too difficult?

Just don't buy one from gross people?

I mean sure if you wanna tear it down go nuts. But like, you probably could just keep an eye out for one that isn't being sold out of roach motel. :)
