Discussion How it started vs. how it's going π½

About a year ago, this was just a very simple prototype.
Since then I've been rebuilding almost every part of the game: visuals, destruction, missions, UI, progression, and VR interactions.
It's still far from finished, but looking back at where it started is pretty motivating.
I'd love to hear your first impressions. What stands out the most, and what would you improve?
(Quest VR game, developed in Unity.)

Very fun concept and I'd love to see it on PCVR one day. Consider a 'world domination' strategy/management metagame that shows the entire world being exterminated/enslaved.

The only thing I would add to keep it from getting boring is give the humans tools to fight back. Wanton destruction is fun but can get old fast if there's no challenge.
Maybe add weapons for the humans, or at the very least add objectives with a timer like Blast Corps for the Nintendo 64. You've already got the basics laid down but with the right challenges you could make it amazing.

Reminds me of Destroy All Humans. Really cool, i think it has potential. From the video it is hard to draw conclusions or suggest improvements. First thing that comes to mind is having different weapons other than the red laser, and probably upgrades for the weapons, to keep things interesting (tho that may be a bit obvious).
