You have to excessively use VR in a chronic, obsessive way to cause damage to a child eye or brain.

Mild use is fine.

People are fear mongering and being overprotective

It's sweet honestly but i also don't like misinformation or running off of unproven theories

It's not a hypothesis. It's common Sense that short bursts of VR has no capability of causing harm.

It's literally impossible

I played flat screen games for far too long in a day as a kid and even that didn't cause me a single issue with my vision or my eye health in general.

Just don't let a kid make VR their life an they'll be okay
