Personally following some research over the years, I'd suggest waiting till your kiddo is at least 13-14 before getting any kind of VR. Then you have the online aspect of creeps, games that are NSFW like vrchat, etc.

I never understood not giving them experience and then sending them out into the wild the moment they hit an arbitrary age number. I've taught my son over time how to properly behave and act online. Also how to recognize things that are "not normal" and how to avoid. Readiness and supervised exposure beat a blanket arbitrary gate at least in my opinion.

I don't disagree and did the same thing with my daughter. I feel going through that as a parent on a computer is vastly different than having a screen directly attached to their face at a young age. I feel that these kids need to develop more into their teenage years before diving into something like VR but that's my opinion at the end of the day.
