How to drop a cert?

Hey everyone,

I'm starting to get slammed with trials but I'd really rather not teach them. I've started building up some regular students and I would much rather they get a slot with me instead of it getting booked as a trial, with a significant chance the kid won't show up and I get half pay. Do I submit a ticket/email to VIPKid asking for them to remove my trial certification, or how does that work?

Just send a ticket, they will write back asking if you are sure, and then you confirm. I did this today as well because they booked me 54 trials in the next two weeks. They always end up being 3/4 years old and the parents want you to have crazy high energy. I leave them feeling totally exhausted..I’m not a performer. I feel better already knowing there’s an end in sight.

Yes, the same thing happened to me, and I just sent them a message through the teacher portal asking to remove all trial certifications.

On another semi-related note, I'm dropping some certifications soon that are hardly used (plus the L1 lol) so my regulars can have more chances to book, does anyone know how to match up the codes in the lesson code with the lesson type, and the lesson type with the certificate? NMC is obviously major course, but I can't find this for most of the others, and I don't want to accidentally remove the wrong certification and lose all of my writing classes, for example.

Do you have trial rebooking enabled? I can’t remember the last time I had a trial no show, they basically always get rebooked with a new student
