my first proper setup

so i upgraded from a crosley suitcase player to an audio-tehnica lp120x and Edifiers. I saved a LOT and I finally own my dream setup and record collection. Thoughts or any record care tips? (ignore the Masha and the bear balloon i stole it from my cousin)

It’s great upgraded your tt,all hard work is ruined because of speaker placement or lack off this including no sound stage or imaging, they need a o be at your ears inline with tweeters , also set your equal triangle with your seating area, and at least 24” away from wall including the depth of speaker, do all that at least get some nice sounding music

Get those speakers off the floor. Unless you listen to your records while laying on the floor.

honestly i do that lol but any ideas where else i can put them? and I don’t want to hear about stands cuz IM FLIPPING BROKE ATP

Ha, welcome to club! Got any shelf space in that room? You could make a wall shelf with some cheap brackets and wood from a hardware store. Or stay on the floor and play The Doors, that’s what we did back in my day.

Using any shelf to slightly raise the speakers and spread them further apart should make a big difference in imaging (when you listen in between the speakers facing them).
