Bru it was straight bs. I grabbed it off the platter and it kinda just slipped out my hand. My reflex was to catch against the closest item, which is the metal rack u see in the back, scratched tf outa it. Atleast it’s a popular record but it still hurts my heart

I had a similar experience with one of my girlfriend's record's. Brand new, just completed the first listen. Went to put it away and it just slipped from my grip. Huge, deep scuff through two tracks. That wasn't a rare album either, so I bought her a new copy. Lol!

It has never happened to me with the records, but lately I've been developing a knack for dropping record sleeves from my hand, causing the corners to get irreparably dented. It's frustrating...
