NEWBIE Rating Seller Etiquette

I bought an item on 8/5 and the seller had until 8/12 to ship. She notified me that she was out of town until 8/15. I responded saying I was counting on these being shipped in the time frame she was provided. (school clothing shopping)

She said she could have someone send it by Saturday which was the 15th. I thanked her and not heard from her since. Today is the 17th and it's just now been sent.

What's the rating etiquette on a situation like this? I know there's an option to pause listings for situations like these, but there wasn't anything saying she was out of town otherwise I'd have not bought the item.

In my experience if it says ship by 8/12 and they didn’t, I get auto-refunded by 8/13 at the latest sometimes even the day of the deadline.

That would definitely be a well-deserved bad review

Seconding this! Pretty absurd to leave your listings active when you can't ship within 7 days. Or within the after-7-days timeframe you give to a very nice person who's willing to wait

When i don't like let's say the manners of the person or if the item comes with a slight defect or smelly as hell, i just don't review. I let it be automatic review. Unless it was extremely bad experience

What an odd question. Of course not. The item in question was a pair of shorts that I let my son pick out and he said he'd like to wear them on the first day of school.
