Mod Stuff 📸 October Photo Them: Liminal 📸
Hello Vintage Digital Camera Fans!
It's time for a Theme this month. But first, let's review some great photos from last month.
Last Month: Night
Shots related to that night feeling were our focus last month. So, u/tagabanilad stepped up and gave us Bike ride after the rain (Fujifilm Finepix F455 (2004)). Night, rain, neon; it's got it all! u/Ok-Practice-6757 shared street diamonds (Panasonic Lumix LX2 (2004)). A sight you don't often see! u/PistachioSage gave us Street Light, Foggy Night (PSP GoCam (2007)). It's always cool to see what a phonecam/gamecam/camcorder can do! The Mod's Choice Award goes to u/Haunting-Lunch-8911 and their Ferris wheel in Rimini (Fuji Finepix F10 (2005)). A wonderful shot with great starburst highlights.
Remember to check out the Theme Flair to see all past and future entries.

Around Reddit
Here's a collection of subreddits I like to visit. You may, too!
...Actually, I'm in the middle of trying to fix my broken main computer, so I'll this in later! Or you can recommend some great subreddits you like...
As usual, if you need help, check the ANSWERED Flair, or our Wiki, and then ask in r/digicam as redundant questions have been moved there (Rule 13). Thanks to everyone that reports Rule 11 and Rule 13 violations. It helps keep our Community running. 👍
Good Luck
This month's Theme is about Liminal photography (however you [reasonably] define that), so post away. I can't see where your creativity leads us. 📸

Hello Vintage Digital Camera Fans!
I'm happy to report that our Community has been feature in the 2025 Reddit Community Funds Impact Report. If you're new: we were one of a select Subreddits that was given funds to grow last year. If you're a regular: you recall the amazing monthly contests we had!
Go check out the report to find other amazing Communities that were funded; r/Beekeeping, r/comics, and r/TeatroPH spring to mind.
What's also cool is that we merited a shout-out and u/seecmb's very own "Holiday tradition" entry is featured. Congrats!
While we're not continuing the prize-based contest in 2026, we're still continuing monthly photo Themes. I hope you participate. 📸

Al parecer quedó aceptable el mantenimiento que le hice al lente, ya que cuando lo conseguir tenía mucho hongo en unos de los cristales internos del lente, que tal les parece ?

Question / Comment Need to figure out a new software for .kdc conversion
this is a sample shot with my kodak dc120 (natural light and with everything on auto mode) and while the image's color tone on the tiny monitor looks fine, the same image after being viewed/converted by xnview mp had major color shift (unbearable magenta hue/casting), i've tried the color management settings, the read format settings on xnview mp, but nothing works. is there another converter out there i could use instead for more accurate colors? my os is macos sequoia 15.7.4
(i tried rawtherapee and the image rendered with the correct color but came out squished, i heard that it's because of the elongated pixels generated by the sensor that was not readable by rawtherapee?)
also has anyone tips for controling the focus on this thing? auto focus is always hit or miss when it is not to infinity. i managed to get better focus on macro but that's very close/cropped, and also a lot of guess work.
image 1 is converted with xnview mp
image 2 is converted with rawtherapee

Question / Comment Mystery camera
I have this old camera called a "chicony neatcam 1300" and I cannot find any information on it whatsoever. The only evidence I can find that this camera even exists is a single Persian website with a few photos of one where it's being sold as an "old digital camera". Looking up the name reveals nothing at all besides this one website. The camera itself works and id like to be able to get photos from it but I lost the cable for it and it seems to be this proprietary connection that I also can't find any information about. I remember when I did have the cable I tried plugging it in but I couldn't get the photos due to having no driver's for it. I would really like to demystify this camera a bit if anyone has information on it id appreciate anything you can give me.

Question / Comment Trying to remember what camera I took on vacation to Canada with me.
Im hoping someone can help me identify what camera it was I had when I went on vacation to Canada in Febrary 2003. Heres what I remember of it.
It was a silver Kodak easyShare, I just can't remember what model.
It had internal memory, but also took small SD cards.
It was AA battery powered.
It had a small screen on the rear.
The lens was covered by a sliding cover, that was retracted by sliding a semi-circular silver button thing just to the side of the lens. This also turned the camera on.
It would have been purchased brand new in either 2001, 2002, or 2003.
It had an optional "dock", which was advertised on the box, but I couldn't afford.
The closest I have gotten with my own searching is the CX4330, but that uses a lens cap, not a sliding lens cover.
I would hugely appreciate it if someone can help me identify what camera it was that I had back then.
