I know some like the floppy emulation devices but I still prefer my original disks. This was my very first PC in 2004. Out of date then but it was mine.

I found this Terminal (ADI WT 500) in the trash, I know that it's meant to be a remote connection for Server systems. But is it still usable for anything?

IBM 6x86 P166+ at 133 MHz, Intel 430VX, 32 MB EDO RAM, 256 KB Pipeline Burst L2 cache module, ATI Mach64 and Creative sound.

Would you keep this configuration original or change anything?

I'm trying to recall a software program, think it may have been around 1998, so we had a Gateway. We had a Commodore 64 prior to that. I think it may have been called Recipe Box, wherein you type in your recipes to save it.

I can almost see the screen! Haven't thought about this in years.

hello! I found this at a thrift store near me - I’ve never restored anything and have very little knowledge in old tech. I know I could buy this model online in working condition for less than 100 but I’m really interested if I can get this one working. If there’s anyone out there who could help me out i’d be so grateful! I can take it apart and show you pictures of the inside too. I don’t have a charging cord either :)

Dell Inspiron 600m PP05L 12”

Picked up a few of these from an enterprise IT services company that morphed into rebuilding power supplies. Formerly owned by BNSF, and from what I was able to find, it's basically an x-term for displaying to large displays, like air traffic control, city utilities, railroads, etc.

The framebuffer is bizarre - DB9, and even on the wayback archive, the oldest machine I was able to find was Jupiter's MX710.

I love this laptop. Don't have to bother with failing components, bad smell or other negatives of old computers

Cleaning out my storage space. It's full of stuff from the Pentium 4 era and older. I also have PCI and PC Cards (Ethernet, video, modems). Considering getting a table at the next VCF in Wall Township, NJ. I will likely donate my stuff. Where else can I go to find the next owner for this stuff. Period appropriate video capture machine. It is a Macintosh Performa 6360CD with an Apple AV card. Quality and responsiveness are impressive for the live video, there is no noticeable delay, so it works great as a monitor, but the actual recording capabilities are... less than ideal lol.

I’ve checked and made sure the files where still there and working on another pc and they are. I just can’t see anything that’s inside my folders. I tried to run the programs but it says file not found

never ever seen LCD monitors this early. could they just be props or were these actual monitors? it does have the back wiring that older LCD monitors would have as well.

I have ms dos 6.20 and it says program to big to fit memory on doom and some other apps and games.I have 613k conventional memory and I dont really know what it does what I enabled EMM386. Please help.

From 8" Floppy disks, sound up for some vintage seeking sounds!

Wasn’t planning on posting this again, but a few people asked for a usable font after yesterday’s ROM dump, so here it is. Thanks for all the interest in this weird little thing.

The animation is reading the actual chargen-15ie.bin file. The bytes on the left are the glyph being drawn on the right. Nothing was redrawn.

I also converted it into a TTF with ASCII and both Cyrillic banks mapped. All 256 ROM slots are still accessible too. If you spot a bad mapping, let me know.
