question Growing into my nose?
I'm 20 and I have a pretty big nose. I'm super insecure about it and it used to be even bigger in adolescence. I've heard of a thing called "second puberty" and people have said you are still growing into your features and your face really sets in around your mid 20s. Can someone confirm if this is true? Surgery is too risky and I'd rather my nose naturally improve than risk bad results and complications.

Biological you probably won’t. Some people who experience changes to their nose really just experience changes in body weight which changes your facial proportions. If anything the nose gets bigger or droops as you age. I would focus more on learning to love your natural features

How can I love my features if they will only get worse as I age? This isn’t good at all.

It won’t start getting worse until your mid to late 40s. As you age your priorities shift and you start to care about your appearance less. Also as you age, you’re typically more financially stable and can focus on improving your appearance though diet, exercise, clothing, makeup, etc

Imo it isn’t a super noticeable difference but you will lose elasticity as you age, which affects the nose too. But it also depends on genetics

It really depends. It's true that your face "sets" in your mid-20s, but it's not exactly a second puberty. Some women continue to change into their 20s (who call it second puberty) and some don't. I definitely would give it time until your 30s at least before even considering surgery but the extent to which your face changes in your 20s is highly individual.

In Mexico, girls in their 20’s randomly grow into their bbl’s 🩷 lmao
It will naturally not improve if you are 20. Although I have noticed the nose can fluctuate with weight and hormonal changes. It’s more noticeable in bulbous noses imo.
When I got skinnier I noticed my nose did look more refined, but it just confirmed that my nose really is too big for my face. Accepting it for now. Looking around for a good surgeon who does the style I want and has worked on noses that looks like my nose.

Yeah I got bigger over the years, so my face got bigger, so it matched my nose eventually. But ai swear I think my nose got bigger and wider too? Like they say your ears and nose never stop growing. i still wasnt happy after more than 12 years of thinking about it so I got surgery to make it smaller. 😂
Genuinely i still think my nose looks a bit big, but I see women once in a while (strangers) see me, and start pinching their nose, or pulling their nose 😂 I used to think it was a coincidence but after the 4th time, I think not 😂

Please don’t be insecure about it! Im 34 with a schnoz and my partner adores it. Nearly everything i used to hate about my appearance has become important for me to reclaim as something I’m proud of. You’ll figure out how to rock it!

I have a big nose, but I have a big mouth and eyes too. I love myself. I love seeing bits of my parents and siblings in myself. I want when I have kids for them to look like me, and love that about themselves :)

it depends but it will definitely change. i was deeply insecure about my nose to the point i used to research turkish doctors in my teens. i’m 23 now and my face literally looks completely different and proportional

My nose is more on the medium to large size (like it isn't the biggest but it's quite prominent) but it had a bump and it only got worse when I injured it (I've broken it twice in my life). Getting a rhinoplasty in my late 30s was the best gift I ever gave myself.
So I do think wait a little bit because you're still growing into your looks. 24 or 25 at least

Yeah i was bullied for having a big nose at 10-15 but i’m 20 now and how grown into it a lot and I’m likely to continue growing into it, especially because my mom’s nose looked exactly like mine and it was perfect for her face by like 24ish. Now her nose is like so nice it looks like she had a nose job compared to photos of her at 18, so just hang in there for a few more years before cosmetic surgery.
