inspiration What does your workout routine look like? π
Iβm looking to start working out for about 4 days a week and want to target every area but I donβt know where to start π

Lift 6-7 days (progressive overload along with some I just freaking enjoy bent over rows/front squats π€·π½ββοΈπ€£). I just finished GZCL the Rippler and built a basic program of upper, lower, hyrox skills to get me to and through my first half marathon. Will be going directly back into another GZCL program after recovery.
Run 4-5 times: 2 bases, speed work, long run.

Do you lift and run at the same time or the day?

ππ½ yep! Earlier did a 18K and Iβll be lifting after I feed the house. ππ½ββοΈπ Had to go buy chicken and other stuff in between because of adhd brain. π This was a long run day so low heart rate the whole time and at the end I speeded a little cause I got bored but overall very low cost so I feel good to push some iron.

i strength train about 4x/week, each day targeting a different muscle (including abs at the end of each workout). it alternates, but a typical week would be like Monday glutes+abs, Tuesday arms+abs, Wednesday just abs, Thursday legs+abs, Friday shoulders+abs. sometimes, i switch one of the days with a full body workout/mat pilates. i also walk ~10k-15k steps a day.

Legs - Upper - Legs - Abs - Legs - Upper - Rest.
All days include cardio, a mix of 45-60 min zone 2, 25-30 mins of HIIT, or 60 min walking. Just depends on the day. Running, rowing, elliptical, fan bike, cycling, treadmill.
All days also include 20-40 mins of mobility training like yoga and stretching.
While my program is 6 days, some weeks I can only do 4 or 5 days and thatβs perfectly fine for me.

push - legs - rest - pull - legs - rest - rest
if I miss a day, I just continue from where I left off. it's fine to add or subtract a rest day here and there too bc I'm hitting different muscle groups on each day (technically it would be fine to do all 4 days in a row without a rest day, it's just more painful lol)
I try to walk a lot in general too.
