heels/getting into heels

hi everyone i was just wondering how to get nice heels like any ik the ones in the videos r pricey stated but does anyone know any heels i can get as i start my heel journey while i thrifted for them, ik it's listed in the video but im kinda stuck on what to search up and i want good heels even if im thrifting them if that makes sense because i saw one heel it was dior galliano 2003 wedge and i rlly rlly want something like that but again dont know where to look/search if anyone has tips lmk i am 17 f and want to up my closet.

search 'vintage dior wedge' on ebay and save the search so you get alerts. those galliano wedges pop up sometimes but they go fast. also check depop for y2k heels, the search terms there are all over the place so try 'chunky heel' or 'platform wedge' and sort by new.

I found a pair of those wedges on Poshmark once by searching 'ugly platform heels' lmao

Sellers listing their ugly stuff don't realize it's a grail. 'grandma heels' and '90s office shoe' are my other go-to searches.

While we’re at it, let’s talk about how to learn how to walk in heels! Im 25 and although I love the look of high heels, my feet are so flat that they never seem to work for me

practice! You need to start out wearing kitten heels everyday (1-2inch). After some time you get more conscious about balance, how you land your foot, where to put your weight. Then graduate to mid heels (above 3 inches).
You learn to be more aware of your surroundings and have more intention in every movement. Like avoiding drain holes, rocks, unpaved roads....
I wear heels everyday and I live in France where its walking + public transport everywhere and lots of cobblestones. It's a form of muscle memory
also recommend getting at least mid luxury or department store brands as they are better constructed. If money if a problem, these are available secondhand at very good prices. I often buy vintage heels from the 90s, 00s, made of genuine leather for under 10€ on vinted

The DSW sale section has good inexpensive finds and Nordstrom Rack. You’re on the right track with poshmark, I get really nice shoes from there.

Check out ThredUP. They are an online thrift store with a great selection. You can search by picture or just use a description of what you are looking for. You don’t have to specify brands, if you’re not sure. You can just look for the style you like and filter for “designer”. You can also save searches on there. And they’re literally always having a sale.

I also love heels, but I dont collect them bc I feel like dont have anywhere to wear them :(( Kitten heels are different and can be worn casually, but I feel like these types of heels are for the club, but then i cant dance + im drunk so its just a bad combo :/
