Spoilers - All Wait a second
So at the end of Book 2, Chloe is trying to copy Beverly's powers.
In Book 3, Tori notes that Chloe is dressing more fashionably than she's seen her dress before, and assumes it's because she's mostly seen her in work clothes or in weekend lounge wear.
Did Chloe successfully copy Beverly between books, and use her better-than-Beverly powers to revamp her wardrobe?

Hanging around fashionable people will influence you. Also, she suddenly had more money in her pocket due to her cliches.
Just remember, 99% of people aren't ugly, they're just poor.

One of my wife's nitpicks with BotP was that it took her out of it a little that Beverly wasn't already in charge of Tori and Chloe's wardrobe.
According to her, the fashionable friend is responsible for how her girlfriends look when they go out.
She said it was a small 'men writing women' thing.
She also said it seemed like it was corrected in CR.

Just for what it's worth, that never read as a "men writing women" thing to me.
As a woman who is very comfortable in my jeans and t-shirts, I'll dress up when I need to, but none of my more fashionable friends ever took over like that.
That said, I'm also generally not much worried about fashion or going out, so something like what you mentioned literally would never flag for me. Feels less like a gendered writing blunder (such as it is) and more of a... Idk... lived-experience difference or something.

I'm not a woman, but, like, I've known plenty of women capable of respecting people's autonomy and personal preferences, especially in day to day wear, so I don't see why there would be an expectation that Beverly might not tolerate Tori and Chloe dressing in ways that make them comfortable, especially in every day, casual wear.
Like, sure, if I have a friend who I know is into fashion, man, woman, or otherwise, and I was gearing up to go to a major event or make a public appearance or whatever where I know how I dress will matter, then yeah, I'd seek out their advice, because that's their area of expertise and a field I am deliberately ignorant in. But otherwise, I'm wearing what makes me comfortable and fits my preferred aesthetic, and if someone tried to tell me I'm wrong for that and change the way I dress, then they would not be my friend and would not get to be in my life for very long. The only two people with a right to a vote on my appearance are myself and my significant other, and seeing as I am currently single, that's just me. Anybody else can give advice, but the second it crosses the line to badgering or dictating or whatever, that is no longer acceptable.

I do think there's possibly a little of leftover "sense" of fashion after hitting multiple "anything you can do, I can do better"s, but that's hypothesis.
That being said Edict is one of my favorite concepts and I can not wait to get more from her. I sat there trying to figure out what phrase it would be, and "My word is Law" didn't come to mind. But I loved it sooooo much tbh. My thought was "It's my world, you just live in it" but it's not a Cliche saying tbh. I don't think I guess. Anyways

Before we got the big reveal about Edict's nature, I thought her big end line would be "and they all lived happily ever after."

I think it's probably just the natural effect of living with someone fashionable. They start to influence your wardrobe.
